Below are photo's of the various colors and patterns our kittens have had. Flame (a light red color) or Cream kittens are difficult to tell apart when they are kittens. Sometimes we don't know if they are mitted or not until they have gone to their new homes. Seal kittens are darker, while the Blue kittens are described sometimes as 'gray'.
The Colorpoint kittens points (ears, paws and tail) are all one color, while the Mitted kittens have white 'mittens' on their paws. The Bi-color kittens have a white 'mask' on their faces, and their mittens are higher up on their legs.
The lynx pattern is like a 'tabby' pattern over the kitten's points, and can be any color and any pattern. Tortie kittens are like calico kittens, with the seal and flame both on the kittens points. These may be any pattern. The Torbie kittens have blue and cream colors on their points.
For a more detailed description, please go to The International Cat Association (TICA) Ragdoll standards page. TICA recognizes all patterns and colors of the Ragdoll. Other cat organizations may not recogize the mitted or colorpoint ragdolls, or the flame or lynx ragdolls, all of which Mendelian Ragdoll's is proud to breed.
